Whether you are taking the high-speed ICE or a regional train, buying a ticket at the *Bahnhof* (train station) is an essential skill in Germany. This roleplay helps you master interacting with a ticket clerk, choosing your ticket type, and finding your platform.
In German, a one-way ticket is called "Einfache Fahrt", while a round-trip ticket is "hin und zurück". When asking for the platform, use the word "Gleis". Notice that the clerk asks "Sie wünschen?", which is a polite, short way to ask "How can I help you?" or "What would you like?".
